At aptcv, we want you to be completely satisfied with our service. This Refund and Cancellation Policy explains our policies regarding subscription cancellations, refunds, and related matters.

2. Free Trial Period

We may offer a free trial period for new users. During the free trial period, you can cancel your subscription at any time without any charges. If you do not cancel before the trial period ends, you will be automatically charged for the subscription plan you selected.

3. Subscription Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting our support team. Upon cancellation:

  • Your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period
  • You will continue to have access to premium features until the end of the paid period
  • You will not be charged for subsequent billing periods
  • Your account will automatically convert to a free plan (if available) at the end of the billing period
  • All your CVs and data will be retained according to your plan type

4. Refund Eligibility

We offer refunds under the following circumstances:

  • 7-Day Money-Back Guarantee: If you are not satisfied with our service, you can request a full refund within 7 days of your initial purchase
  • Technical Issues: If our service experiences significant technical problems that prevent you from using it, and we are unable to resolve them within a reasonable timeframe
  • Duplicate Charges: If you were accidentally charged multiple times for the same subscription
  • Unauthorized Charges: If charges were made to your account without your authorization

Note: Refunds are not available after 7 days of purchase, except in cases of technical issues, duplicate charges, or unauthorized charges.

5. Non-Refundable Items

The following are not eligible for refunds:

  • Subscription fees paid more than 7 days ago (unless covered by exceptions above)
  • Expert review services that have already been completed
  • One-time purchases for premium templates (unless defective)
  • Partial refunds for unused portions of monthly or annual subscriptions
  • Subscriptions cancelled after the 7-day period (access continues until end of billing period)

6. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact our support team at support@cvbuilder.com or through our contact page
  2. Provide your account email address and order/transaction ID
  3. Explain the reason for your refund request
  4. Include any relevant screenshots or documentation

We will review your request within 2-3 business days and notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

7. Refund Processing

Once your refund is approved:

  • Refunds will be processed within 5-7 business days
  • The refund will be credited to the original payment method used for the purchase
  • It may take an additional 5-10 business days for the refund to appear in your account, depending on your bank or payment provider
  • You will receive an email confirmation once the refund has been processed

Note: Refunds are processed through Razorpay, our payment gateway partner. For questions about refund status, you can also check your Razorpay transaction history.

8. Account Deletion

If you wish to permanently delete your account along with cancelling your subscription:

  • You can request account deletion through your account settings
  • All your personal data and CVs will be permanently deleted within 30 days
  • This action is irreversible and cannot be undone
  • Account deletion does not automatically trigger a refund

9. Subscription Changes

If you want to upgrade or downgrade your subscription plan:

  • Upgrades: Take effect immediately, and you will be charged the prorated difference
  • Downgrades: Take effect at the end of your current billing period
  • No refunds are provided for the difference when downgrading plans

10. Service Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our service at any time. If we make significant changes that substantially reduce the value of your subscription, you may be eligible for a prorated refund for the unused portion of your subscription.

11. Fair Use Policy

We reserve the right to deny refund requests that we determine to be fraudulent, abusive, or in violation of our terms of service. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Multiple refund requests from the same user
  • Requests made after extensive use of the service
  • Requests that appear to be taking advantage of our refund policy

12. Chargebacks

If you file a chargeback with your bank or credit card company without contacting us first, we reserve the right to dispute the chargeback and may suspend or terminate your account. Please contact us directly to resolve any billing issues before initiating a chargeback.
